There will be a film screening of Made in Dagenham followed by a short panel discussion hosted by Prof Mike Gonzalez formerly head of Latin American studies at University of Glasgow and member of Solidarity - Scotland's Socialist Movement and Dr Roberta McGrath, Associate Lecturer in Photographic Theory and Criticism at Edinburgh Napier University.
Made in Dagenham is a 2010 British film directed by Nigel Cole. The film stars Sally Hawkins, Bob Hoskins, Miranda Richardson, Geraldine James, Rosamund Pike, Andrea Riseborough, Jaime Winstone, Daniel Mays and Richard Schiff. It dramatises the Ford sewing machinists strike of 1968 that aimed for equal pay for women.
